I just read today NK has been purchased by Sencha. Congrats Sunny!

Can you or someone clarify if I'm understanding this correctly on how everything will fit with regards to this new development.
Sencha Touch allows you to build mobile web apps (HTML5).
Then you can use NK to make that Sencha Touch web app a native iOS app.
Is this how everything will fit?

Or.... you don't have to use Sencha Touch and just build everything like a normal Nimble Kit app? (even after the Sencha purchase).

I've looked at Sencha Touch's docs and it seems like LISP (lost in silly parenthesis), and not as straightforward as the NK way of doing things.

Second... should I wait to purchase NK2 from Sencha, or purchase 1.9.9. now? I read somewhere it's a free update once it's over there at Sencha.

Do you know the future selling price of NK2 by Sencha?

I can't say 100% sure because some things are still obscure at the moment, but I will inform community how it goes

Does Nimblekit 2 = Sencha Architect 2?

Sunny, you're making us crazy :-)) eh eh

Are you involved in Sencha Architect developement?

How is that tool?
Can we use JS, HTML5 and Sqlite access with Sencha Architect?

Try to understand our anxiety :-)

have a nice day

I'm not involved in Architect directly, but I built iOS and Android packager for Sencha Touch 2.0, which is part of Architect. But no, it does not support SQLite just yet, however it will support it quite soon I suppose. At the moment there are only: Connection, Notification, Orientation and Camera classes, all written in NK 2.0 API style, here is the doc: http://docs.sencha.com/touch/2-0/#!/guide/native_apis to give you idea how NK 2.0 APIs will look like.
Also from now on all NK 2.0 APIs will work on both iOS and Android

Hmmm.... thanks for sharing the NK future plan Sunny, seems NK2 (Sencha SDK) will be ExtJS style and will be another good start.... I'm jQuery addicted not sure that Sencha and jQuery will go together well.. and Sencha look so expensive for a newbie or starter.

Can have a big breath that old NK user still be able to access to the new version... I am looking forward to hear the progress of the new era Sencha SDK when you join them...

Good luck Sunny... :D
